Yusura sake has a long history, and it's brewer "sudo" trace it's origins back to 1141 AD.
This brewer longevity is due to their total commitment to quality throughout the brewing process.
Yusura sake is made using traditional sake brewing methods not generally used by sake brewer nowadays. For examples, no extra alcohol is added and artificial filter process are not employed.
Not surprisingly, this sake is only produced in small quantities and can be difficult to acquire. Nevertheless, it is highly recommended by both sake connoisseurs, and the wine expert Robert Parker.
